Alpha Industries provides employment opportunities for people with developmental disabilities. Located at the Malta site, there are a variety of hand assembly jobs that offer the chance to earn a paycheck while enjoying meaningful work. For some of these individuals, they might not be able to find employment in the community, but many others are able to secure competitive paid positions. However, the employees are able to learn a trade, produce a needed product and gain responsibility. All of the newfound skills have the potential to increase their self-esteem, their work ethic and ultimately their independence.
