Responsible for assisting in the daily operation of the Medical/ Nursing Department in the day habilitation programs. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES :
A. Service Recipients Care:
1. Administers medications to service recipients and obtaining service recipient self-administration of medication data as requested.
2. Responds appropriately in emergency situations and takes appropriate nursing steps in instances of service recipient or staff illness or injury.
3. Implementation of medical treatments and nursing interventions as stated in physician's orders .
4. Attends semi-annual and annual reviews as needed or requested.
5. Assists with communication between instructional and clinical staff regarding Medical/Nursing concerns, recommendations and treatments.
6. Assessment and detection of illness or dysfunction that warrants nursing intervention or medical evaluation.
7. Provide first aid in the presence of illness or accident
