For the 7th consecutive year, the Spratt family has chosen Saratoga Bridges to be the beneficiary of funds raised at the Annual Bob & Joyce Spratt Memorial Golf Outing. The event was held at the Brookhaven Golf Course (located in Porter Corners) on Saturday, September 23, 2017.
The $80 per person fee included a full round of golf, Buffet Dinner and Awards Ceremony.
Joyce was a loving wife and mother of 4 boys and sadly passed away after a battle with cancer. Sadly, we lost Bob last year. Their son Christopher is the President of Saratoga Bridges’ Foundation Board and explains why they chose to support Saratoga Bridges: “This tournament celebrates my parents’ lives and provides an opportunity for their friends and family to get together to laugh and have fun. We have chosen to donate the proceeds from the past 7 years to Saratoga Bridges. My brother Todd has a learning disability and because the organization has done so much for our family throughout the years, it was a natural choice. We all know that she would be so proud that this money is being used to help other people with disabilities and their families.”
To date, this tournament has donated over $50,000 to local charities such as Saratoga Bridges and the American Cancer Society. For the 4th year, the funds will benefit essential underfunded programs under the umbrella of Family Support Services. The remaining 10% will be donated to the Saratoga Bridges Foundation Endowment.
