In 1984, the Saratoga Bridges opened the first accessible community-based home in the county for people with developmental disabilities. Subsequently, our Residential Program has grown to offer a choice of different arrangements for 107 individuals living in 17 homes. We teach them to become independent in their environments by offering support and services to live, work and socialize within the community. Specifically, we ensure that they have 24 hour supervision, day programming, instruction in daily living and extensive decision-making skills, medical, nursing, nutrition, occupational and physical therapy, psychology, recreational activities, social work, speech and hearing services and transportation.
