TRANSPORTATION |

The Saratoga Bridges Transportation Department utilizes a fleet of 30 vehicles to transport 430 participants to 11 day programs located throughout Saratoga County. To provide this level of transportation our 24 drivers will log approximately 850,000 miles during the calendar year.
Saratoga Bridges utilizes a team of highly competent drivers who have proven their abilities through the Agency’s accident free, safe driving award program. Most of the daily transportation routes also utilize a bus monitor to attend to the needs of the individuals. These drivers and monitors are required to undergo extensive training which ranges from certification in defensive driving to behavioral management to first-aid/CPR training.
Each of the buses used for daily route transportation are inspected and certified by the N.Y.S. Department of Transportation every six months. In order to keep the vehicles in compliance with these standards the buses undergo extensive maintenance checks at our garage facility located in the Alpha complex in Ballston Spa.
