“FAMILIES CANNOT BE CARE GIVERS FOREVER” CAMPAIGN

On November 21, Governor Cuomo vetoed 4 bills pertaining to critical issues for people with developmental disabilities and their families.  NYS has effectively stopped developing new supports and services for people who are living at home with aging family members.  Although a disappointment, these vetoes represent a an opportunity to advocate.  With the Governor’s budget proposal due at the end of January, we are requesting that you email and/or call the Governor, State Senators and Assemblymembers.  Please refer to this DOCUMENT that has all the details and contact information.
