On Wednesday, January 14th,  7 student athletes from the Skidmore Women’s Basketball team came to check out Creative Endeavors and our Supplemental Day Hab.  The following Lady Thoroughbreds — Angela Botiba, Ari Fustini, Allie Keller, Veronica Moceri, Migle Viluntaite, Molly McLaughlin and Meghan Flanagan — spent the afternoon learning how to make paper and handmade books with a sizzix machine out of contact paper and paint.

We have been very fortunate to have Skidmore College athletic teams host clinics each semester that teach this group of individuals all about their sport. They have all been held on the college campus except for yesterday when the team visited our site for the first time.  We are hoping to have more opportunities to host teams at Creative Endeavors as everyone had a great time!  Some of the comments we overheard from our participants were —

“I had a blast!” Amanda

“It was fun.” Shannon

“I liked painting with Veronica.” Joey

“Can we do it again?” Frank

We all wish these wonderful student athletes good luck with their studies this semester and in throughout the rest of the basketball season!
