Networking does indeed happen at the Saratoga Springs Rotary Club. When a Quad Graphics employee was talking with John Herrick, our HR Director, about a service project his Community Connections team could volunteer to do in the community, John suggested they could help with some fall lawn cleanup several homes needed. Kimberly M. Barnes, the Corporate Customer Service Representative at Quad Graphics, jumped on this idea and recruited 15 co-workers to participate.
Saratoga Bridges is extremely appreciative to have these employees of Quad Graphic’s Community Connections volunteer on November 8th to help at 2 of our homes located in Saratoga Springs. In fact Matt Riker, Pre Media Specialist, and Brian Carroll, Press Manager returned on November 23rd and 30th with a tractor and leaf vacuum to finish up the job!
Matt and Kimberly stated that, “Along with our fellow co-workers, we feel that we are very fortunate. We just want to help others in the community who need assistance. When several individuals came to deliver a certificate to us, they were very enthusiastic for what we accomplished. That makes it much more special for all of us as volunteer to be able to help people who really need it.” Pamela Polacsek, our agency Communications Specialist, expressed this, “We extend a huge thank you to the entire team for their willingness to spend time volunteering on a Sunday morning. Their efforts certainly benefitted our agency and the people we support. Business partnerships are crucial to us and the fact that these individuals chose us as a service project showcases a true Holiday Season message!”
