Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, administration, business, or related field, Master’s degree preferred
  • Four years of human resources management required
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred
  • Valid NYS driver’s license
  • Non-profit and/or OPWDD experience a plus

As the Human Resources Director, some of your responsibilities will be:

  • Reviewing, revising, and developing HR policies with the CEO and Board of Directors
  • Develop and implement consistent and coordinated hiring practices
  • Develop and implement recruitment process including but not limited to social media, search engines, radio, television, and print
  • Responsible for the life of an employee – recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, employee relations, exiting, and retirement
  • Compensation plan, fringe benefits including health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health reimbursement arrangement, dental, life, vision, accident, specific disease, and worker’s compensation
  • Serve as plan trustee and fiduciary for the Agency’s 403b plan
  • Administer worker’s compensation including processing of claims, attending hearings, and light duty
  • Ensure ADA compliance
  • Administers the Kronos time system and the ABRA HRIS
  • Oversees human resources and training department
  • Prepares monthly and annual reports for the CEO and the Board of Directors
