Social/Recreational Program

The Social/Recreational Program is a community based activity group for teens and young adults with Asperger’s Syndrome, High Functioning Autism and other disorders of social relatedness.  Participants enjoy biking, swimming, picnics, snow tubing, skiing, boat rides, rodeos, miniature golf, corn mazes, bowling, parties, board games, movies, shopping and dining out.  They promote safety awareness, self-defense, independent skill building and explore vocational choices and utilize high school seniors without disabilities as peer mentors to demonstrate age-appropriate, socially acceptable behavior.
