Working Beside You

Saratoga Bridges has several vocational and employment programs for people who live in our homes.  They are competitively employed in the community through our Supported Work Program, Alpha Career Options.  You see them happily working at Price Chopper, Ballston Area Community Center and Wal-Mart.  Also they are employed through the several different components of our Alpha Industries program.  These employees perform a variety of hand assembling projects, construct hardwood pallets or process kiln-dried firewood.

Regardless of the employment program, all of the individuals welcome the opportunity to have a job that produces a paycheck.  Their ability to work is a direct reflection on their increased self-worth and self-confidence because they feel they are valued by their employers, co-workers and by the community.  As a result, they become more productive and independent.
