Saratoga Bridges received a $5,000 grant from the GLOBALFOUNDRIES-Town of Stillwater Foundation for a kitchen renovation project at our home on Graves Road in Stillwater.
We pride ourselves on being proactive in assuring that the Residential Program is not just a group of institutional-modeled facilities for consumers, residents, clients or service recipients or work sites for staff members. Rather, our homes are where people live like any family does. They can be who they are, feel love, comfort and security, rejoice in happy, successful occasions and console each other in times of sadness. As in any neighborhood, our homes are a reflection of the people who reside in them. While Saratoga Bridges provides oversight, upkeep and support, we fervently believe it is the individuals who live in these houses that make them a home. Quite simply, they are your neighbors and friends!
At our community-based home on Graves Road, there are 5 unique, capable men and women. Together, they share chores, make decisions about their home and celebrate happy occasions while comforting each another on difficult days. As neighbors, they keep their home looking nice and pride themselves on being productive, involved, valued and active members of their community. When Saratoga Bridges purchased the house in 2000, it was 3 years old. Initially we spent $80,000 in modifications. However, we were not able to update the kitchen at that time. Now, 15 years later, the kitchen has had wear and tear. The results from the GLOBALFOUNDRIES-The Town of Stillwater Foundation grant will enrich and enhance the lives of the people who live there!
