THE LEGISLATURE IS SCHEDULED TO HAVE ALL BUDGETS BILLS FINISHED BY TONIGHT, /MONDAY, MARCH 18TH SO CALL NOW!

The New York State budget is in final negotiations.  We must keep the pressure on for the full restoration to the OPWDD budget!  Tell our legislators — “There are no excuses now.  Please restore the $120 million/6% cut.

The Senate and Assembly have both voted to restore the full 6% cut.  It is imperative that the Governor work with the legislature to ensure full restoration.  The resources must be there.

Here’s what you can do today:
1. Contact the Governor:
• Call Governor Cuomo’s NYC Press Office: 212.681.4640
• Call Larry Schwartz in Governor Cuomo’s office: 518.474.4246
• Go to the Governor’s contact page and tell him to SUPPORT FULL RESTORATION. Tell him that there is the funding!!!! http://www.governor.ny.gov/contact/GovernorContactForm.php

2. Call your Legislators and tell them they can make good on promises to their constituents and include full restoration in the final budget.
