Congratulations to these 2 staff members on their recent promotions!

Kelley Alvord, Staff Development Specialist

We are thrilled to announce that Kelley Alvord has been promoted to Saratoga Bridges’ Staff Development Specialist.  mKelley has worked in the Residential program since August of 2012 as a Residential Habilitation Aide.  Prior to joining our agency, she worked at AIM as a Residential Habilitation Specialist.  Prior to that, Kelley was the Owner and Teacher of ‘Just the Basics Preschool’ for 7 years and has 5 years of teaching experience in the Galway School District.  Kelley has an Associate’s Degree from Sage College.

Tonya McQueen, Community Support Team Leader

Tonya started working for Saratoga Bridges in 2009 at our Loughberry Road home as a Residential Habilitation Aide in a per diem position.  In 2010, she took an overnight shift at our Stone Church Road home.  We are excited that Tonya accepted the Community Support Team Leader in the apartment program just recently.  She is a 2014 graduate from the College of Direct Support sponsored by the New York State Association of Community and Residential Agencies (NYSACRA).  The College of Direct Support provides a validated and specialized curricula to enhance and develop a skilled Direct Support workforce throughout the US.

 In 2013, Tonya graduated from Empire State College (ESC) with a Bachelor’s of Science with a concentration/major of Business Management and Economics (BME).  Since then, she is an ESC Mentor to undergrads getting Business Degrees, a Peer Coach tutoring in Statistics, Business and English and is a Tutor and Advocate for students with disability.  Tonya is enrolled at North Central University in AZ where she is working towards a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree.
