We were thrilled to host our wonderful Sibshops Celebration on Saturday evening. It was our pleasure to welcome siblings who were and currently are participants in Sibshops and their families who recognized their importance of celebrating siblings! Check out the PROGRAM.
We were honored to have Don Meyer as our Keynote Speaker. His passion for siblings is infectious and certainly was reflective in his message. It is most impressive how he is promoting his message and generating recognition and excitement all over the world. Don is the Director of the Sibling Support Project. Best known for creating Sibshops, Don also developed SibKids and SibNet which are free listservs that allow young adult siblings of people with special needs the opportunities to connect with peers around the world. As, the founder of the SEFAM (Supporting Extended Family Members) program at the University of Washington, that pioneered services for siblings, fathers and grandparents of children with special needs.
We also extend our sincere gratitude to our sponsors —

We are very proud to be hosting the Sibshops Program over the past 12 years as it has given over 80 siblings the opportunity to participate. Each year it continues to grow and allow siblings to truly find a way to make a positive difference in the lives of their siblings with special needs.
